Why it matters before Shopify import
Shopify can interpret stock tracking differently from what the merchant intended. The quantity may look deliberate in the CSV while Shopify is not actually set to track that stock.
How to fix it in the CSV
When you want Shopify to track inventory for the variant, set Variant Inventory Tracker to shopify. If the quantity is not intentional, clear the quantity field instead.
