Privacy policy

Effective date: May 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Shopify CSV Preflight Linter handles information when you use the website and related support purchase pages.

Short version

We do not collect personal information through the CSV checking tool itself. CSV files are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to our server.

Information we collect

The CSV checking tool does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, address, social media profile, Shopify login, or store access.

If you contact us by email, we will receive the email address and message content that you choose to send. We use that information only to respond to your request.

The website may store simple local preferences, such as language or theme, in your browser. These preferences stay on your device and are not used to identify you.

CSV files and product data

CSV files are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to our server. The tool does not send CSV content, product names, SKUs, prices, inventory data, or edited CSV output to us.

Analytics, ads, and remarketing

We do not use Google Analytics or other tracking analytics tools.

We do not show ads and do not use remarketing services.

We do not send marketing emails or newsletters.

Payments

Payments are processed by Paddle, our payment provider and online reseller. Paddle may collect and process information needed to complete purchases, including payment details, billing information, tax information, invoice records, and fraud-prevention information.

We do not collect or store payment card details. Paddle handles payment processing, customer service inquiries, and returns. You can read Paddle's Privacy Policy at https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy.

How we use information

We use information only for the limited purposes described in this policy:

Sharing information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share CSV content with third parties.

Payment-related information is handled by Paddle as described above. We may disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect legal rights, security, or service integrity.

Data retention

Because CSV files are processed locally, we do not retain uploaded CSV files or edited CSV output. Email messages may be retained as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the request and keep a record of support communications. Payment records are retained by Paddle according to Paddle's own policies and legal obligations.

GDPR Privacy Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with similar privacy rights, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to data portability or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To make a privacy request about information we control, contact us at gj775869@gmail.com. For payment-related information processed by Paddle, please also review Paddle's Privacy Policy and contact Paddle through its privacy request channels.

CalOPPA Disclosures

This policy is posted from the website footer and is intended to be easy to find. We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals because we do not use tracking analytics, ads, or remarketing services.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.

Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. This website and tool are intended for store owners, operators, agencies, and other business users. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can delete it.
